Week 2 — Themes & Teachings
The barriers we build before we even begin. The shadow doesn't stop us dramatically — it stops us practically. A rule about how something has to be done. One more thing that needs to be in place before we can start. Another reason it's not the right time. The barriers feel completely logical in the moment. They are not. They are the shadow doing its job.
The moments our voice got shut down. Somewhere along the way, you offered something of yourself and the response told you to stop. It may have been subtle. It may have been one person, one moment, one reaction. But a younger version of you remembered it. And she has been protecting you from that experience ever since.
The gap between the life we imagined and the one we're living. There is a version of you living a life on a path you didn't choose. When you meet her, notice what comes up. The grief in that gap is real and worth sitting with. So is the recognition of what you have that she doesn't.
It is not too late. The life that is meant for you is not going to miss you. But it requires you to keep showing up — in small, unglamorous, imperfect ways — rather than waiting until the conditions are right.
Let it be messy. It doesn't have to be orderly. It doesn't have to look the way you thought it would. It just has to be started.
The one small step. What is one thing you could finish, start, or move toward this week? Not the whole vision — one step. That is the threshold for right now.
